Abstract: Despite the fact that last year the economy of the food complex functioned in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic, the state measures applied to neutralize threats, the provision of state support measures to priority sectors in the food market maintained a certain stability of the price environment. The work of all branches of the food complex has ensured the domestic market's need for basic foodstuffs, while the export of many types of food to foreign markets has increased. Further development of the food complex requires increased funding for research and development to create waste-free technologies for deep processing of raw materials and diversification of the economy to increase its competitiveness.
