Abstract: Dairy farming is one of the most important branches of agriculture. Its condition is reflected in the availability, quality and quantity of milk and dairy products consumed by the population. However, despite all the importance and efforts made by the state, the number of dairy cows is constantly decreasing, although the volume of produced milk is growing. The article deals with the issues related to the influence of the concentration of milk production in the regions on changes in economic indicators over a long period, as well as the necessity of taking this factor into account while developing directions for the industry strategic development.
