Abstract: In this article, an attempt is made based on the analysis of data from the long-term (conducted since 2021) departmental statistical observation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia to show the main trends in the staffing of the Russian agro-industrial complex. The author identifies the main negatives of the process of forming the personnel potential of the agro-industrial complex in their professional and qualification context, here special attention is paid to the essential problems of economic and social development of the village and the staffing of agriculture. In the article, the author comes to the conclusion: it is necessary to implement a set of measures and measures for the formation of a new, adequate to modern challenges, system for managing the processes of personnel reproduction and, above all, a multi-level system of agricultural vocational education.
