Abstract: This article is devoted to the economic aspects of state regulation of dairy cattle breeding. The author examines the foreign experience of state support of milk producers on the example of the countries of the European Union (EU), Canada, the USA and New Zealand. In particular, the mechanism of setting fixed prices for milk is being considered, which allows to stabilize the market situation and provide the agricultural business with a guaranteed income. The system of criteria and requirements imposed on the subject of state support, which allows a differentiated approach to subsidizing, is also promising for adaptation in Russia. Special attention is paid to the foreign practice of cooperative forms of organization of dairy cattle breeding in order to obtain a synergetic effect.
