Abstract: The article discusses the theories of spatial development, explores their features and patterns. Special attention is paid to the study of theoretical approaches to the theory of spatial development of agriculture. An important research feature is the analysis of scientific works of Soviet, Russian and foreign scientists in the field of spatial development in general and agriculture in particular. The presented research will complement the theory and practice of managing the spatial development of agriculture.
