Abstract: The needs of the domestic population in high-quality and affordable food products cannot be met without the development of national enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, which are in dire need of human resources. The state of staffing of domestic agriculture with human resources is largely determined by demographic, structural and regional processes of rural areas of the Russia. The relevance of the study of the problems of staffing and identifying the needs for labor resources in Russia as a whole and in individual agricultural regions is a priority for the national state. The purpose of the research conducted by the author is to study and analyze the state of the labor resources of the agricultural sector of the Russian Federation and the subjects of the Southern Federal District, as the leading agricultural domestic region at the present stage. The author based the research on general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as statistical and econometric methods of study. State program support and targeted financing of industrial enterprises of agriculture in the regions of the Russian Federation is necessary for the development of rural areas, engineering and housing infrastructure, and the social sphere of the village.
