Abstract: The article discusses the methodological provisions, principles and methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the functioning and prospects for the development of agricultural production cooperatives in modern Russia. Approaches, criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the development of the SPK are proposed. A retrospective analysis of the formation and functioning of production cooperatives is presented. An assessment of the prevalence, location and prospects of their development is given.
