Abstract: The paper pays attention to the problems of formation, functioning and prospective development of regional clusters for the production of mineral fertilizers. The author's development of a conceptual model of the functioning of regional clusters for the production of mineral fertilizers, based on the interaction of the cluster core with other sectors of the national economy, is presented. A number of Russian regions with cluster formations in the mineral fertilizer industry are presented. In addition, one of the most striking examples of the formation of cluster structures in the Oryol region, in particular for the production of mineral fertilizers, is given. An objective assessment of potential risks in the formation and development of a regional cluster of mineral fertilizers is given.
