Abstract: The world economy as a whole is developing quite successfully. However, the risks and uncertainties of recent times are extremely large and diverse. The instability of political processes in the world has a negative impact on the world economy. Currently, the benefits of trade liberalization and financial liberalization are increasingly seen as causes of increasing inequalities in income and wealth within countries, reducing opportunities for fair political action, and in some cases, undermining national sovereignty. The world is increasingly feeling and understanding that the benefits of increased economic integration are not shared between and within countries on an equitable basis. To reduce poverty and the gap between urban and rural areas, the development of rural infrastructure through public investment in transport, agriculture and energy is a priority. Decision-making authority of countries and international organizations should make maximum efforts to prevent the growth of short-term risks associated with financial difficulties, exacerbation of trade disputes, and to direct all efforts towards achieving economic, social and environmental goals in the framework of further implementation of long-term development strategy. It is necessary to do everything possible to maintain peace on earth and create conditions for optimal, sustainable development of national economies and the world economy as a whole.
