Abstract: The paper focuses on the possibilities of transitioning to a new level of production based on the technology of the Internet of Things in the agricultural sector. The relevance of the research is due to the high potential of digital technologies for agriculture due to the formation of a competitive agrarian economy. Despite the many discussion points in the field of security and legislation, improving the technological basis of agricultural production seems reasonable to increase productivity and technological breakthrough. The purpose of the article is the determination of quantitative and qualitative trends, technical, technological and organizational-economic development of the Internet of Things in the agro-industrial complex, which forms an integral picture of changes and promising directions. n conclusion, an analysis is made of the prospects for the introduction and widespread use of the Internet of things in agricultural production.
