Abstract: Negative trends in the technical and technological equipment of domestic crop production are noted, which hinder the increase in production volumes and the competitiveness of industry products. An improved methodology is proposed for assessing the effectiveness of investments in the innovative development of the technical and technological base of crop production, taking into account the size, price and structure of the invested capital, technical and operational and price characteristics of the acquired means of mechanization, automation and robotization of production processes, as well as additional income received by producers from lower operating costs to carry out mechanized field work, increase volumes and improve product quality. The economic efficiency assessment of the introduction of innovative precision farming technologies in crop production in agricultural organizations of the region with different sizes of land use was evaluated.
