Abstract: The formation of small enterprises and the establishment of an entrepreneurial environment in rural Europe are considered, and opportunities for the development of small business in rural areas are studied. There are examples of success due to new approaches to the development of small business in rural areas. Recommendations on the use of foreign experience in domestic practice are given.
