Abstract: Sunflower oil plays an increasingly important role in the world vegetable oil market, although its share invalue terms so far does not exceed 13‰. The two countries - Russia and Ukraine are the main countries of sunfloweroil producers. To date, half of the sunflower oil produced in Russia is consumed domestically, but exports are growingevery year. On the market of vegetable oils of Russia there are large companies with a high diversification ofproduction. A distinctive of major company is the simultaneous development of exports of sunflower oil produced and importsof palm oil. At the moment, less than 10 companies are dominant in the market of our country and their power isgrowing. This prevents small and mediumsized producers of vegetable oil from taking a competitive position.
