Abstract: The article deals with the theoretical and applied aspects of the development of foreign trade relations of the Russian Federation with the post-Soviet countries in the context of the sanctions containment of the agro-industrial complex. It is substantiated that the sanctions pressure transforms the external economic environment of the functioning of the agro-industrial complex, affecting not only the export of food, but also the import of critical resources, logistics, financial calculations, insurance, certification, and technological cooperation. Special attention is paid to the post-Soviet space as a priority direction for foreign trade adaptation of the Russian agro-industrial complex, which has the advantages of institutional proximity, transport connectivity, historically established production and sales ties, and the potential for integration interaction. It is shown that the development of trade with the EAEU and CIS countries should be considered not only as a way to expand sales markets, but also as a mechanism for ensuring food security, reducing dependence on unfriendly jurisdictions, forming alternative logistics routes, and transitioning to the export of products with higher added value. A conclusion is made about the need for comprehensive development of the foreign trade policy of the agro-industrial complex, including export, import substitution, regional cooperation, transport and logistics infrastructure, and sanctions-resistant financial mechanisms.
