Abstract: The article presents the results of the analysis of institutional shifts in the organizational and legal forms of economic entities in relation to existing government programs, and identifies some key aspects of legal regulation in the field of functioning of modern agricultural entities. The factors that have a direct impact on the choice of organizational and legal forms of agricultural enterprises are identified. The comparative characteristics of organizational and legal forms in the organization of the agro-industrial complex are highlighted. The structure of agricultural organizations by forms of management is considered, which is comparable to the new conditions and main directions and ways of forming a new production paradigm. The main trends in the change of organizational forms in agricultural organizations are shown.
