Abstract: The analysis of grain production in dynamics is presented on the background of significant volatility of thewholesale harvest of grain and yielding per hectare. The grain export exceeded in the terminated agricultural seasonof 2017/2018 increased in 1,5 times compared to the preceding season. The indicators of wheat export were evenhigher and according to this index the Russian Federation became the largest world exporter for the second time in itshistory. The introduction by the government ofprivilege tariffs for a convey of grain by railway transport and also theinitiated development of an export infrastructure, is indicated. The tendencies of sending grain abroad primarilythrough the ports of the Black sea, as well as the Baltic sea and the Caspian sea are considered. On Railways, grainshipments for export increased significantly. Attention is drawn to the formation of sub-regional grain productionclusters in different regions. The rating of the largest importing countries of Russian grain is presented.
