Abstract: The article analyzes how the used mechanisms of state regulation are reflected in the food security of theRussian Federation. A short historical review of the state regulation of agricultural production in Russia was made.The legal basis and the main tools of state support of agricultural producers in the Russian Federation at the presentstage are analyzed as well as the structure of expenditures of the federal budget funds for subprograms of state support for agriculture.
