Abstract: The article presents a comprehensive analysis of global risks affecting agriculture in Russia and its regions in the current conditions of geopolitical, economic and climatic instability. Based on systematisation of data on key threats to the agro-industrial complex the regional peculiarities of risks manifestation and differentiation of their impact on different agricultural zones of the country are revealed. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between climate change, geopolitical factors and technological transformations that form a new reality for the Russian agro-industrial complex. The authors propose risk management mechanisms and adaptation strategies for agriculture, taking into account regional specifics, aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the agricultural sector and food security of Russia.
