Abstract: Currently, the country's leadership assigns an important place to the modernization of scientific and technical libraries of research institutions and educational organizations in determining the vector of Russia's leading development directions. The article examines the unique substantive features and qualitative characteristics of the areas of activity inherent in the Siberian Scientific Agricultural Library (SibNSHB), the only branch scientific library of a vast territory from the Urals to the Far East. The principles of authenticity included in the SibNSHB development concept made it possible to preserve the library during the difficult reorganization period that began after the adoption of the Federal Law "On the Russian Academy of Sciences" on September 27, 2013, and to create a modern information service system for agricultural science and education, including new forms and methods of information services that are as close as possible to the consumer of information. The article aims to analyze the content of the dynamics of the main indicators of the state task for the implementation of library, bibliographic and information services for library users and readers in the period 2022-2024. The study of indicators is possible on the basis of in-depth knowledge and understanding of the industry specifics of the library's activities, which are based on the distinctive and characteristic features of agricultural science and a thorough study of its target audience.
