Abstract: The article deals with the problem of stimulating the labor of workers of agricultural enterprises involved inthe main production. The problem of reducing the role of the stimulating function of wages is revealed, which iscaused by the lag in the rates of its growth compared with the growth offinancial performance of economic entities.The solution of this problem is recommended to be implemented both at the level of the subject of the Russian Federa-tion and at the level of individual agricultural enterprises. The basis of the study was agricultural enterprises in theSaratov region. As a result of the research at the regional level, the organizational and economic mechanism for stim-ulating labor in agricultural enterprises was recommended; with respect to the level of each economic entity, methodsof stimulating labor-normative, legal and organizational-economic, were developed.
