Abstract: Currently, the Russian government pays much attention to supporting agricultural consumer cooperatives,including the provision of grants for the development of the own equity. However, the current support measures arenot sufficient, in the last four years number of cooperatives has decreased by 12.8‰. With the purpose of activatingthe cooperation processes, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has tasked regions to establishment not less than1500 agricultural consumer cooperatives in 2016-2017. An analysis of the dynamics of their numbers allows us toassess current trends and develop more effective mechanisms for supporting agricultural cooperatives.
