Abstract: Taking into account the fact that today there is an urgent task of transforming agriculture into a high-tech competitive element of the food system, such a statement of the problem increases the need to intensify the introduction of innovations in all areas of the agro-industrial complex. The implementation of these directions is possible only subject to the appropriate staffing of the industry, which should not only be of high quality, but also sufficiently adaptive in accordance with the high dynamics of changes occurring in the market. Since these changes today are largely related to technological progress, as a result, the demand for scientific support for many processes in the agricultural sector of the economy is significantly increasing, and this, in turn, leaves an imprint on new professional competencies emerging in the agricultural labor market.
