Abstract: This article discusses the factors of sustainable socio-economic development of the agro-industrial complex in the context of Russia's entry into the era of the digital economy. The task of ensuring food security, which can be achieved by achieving the modernization of the agro-industrial complex and increasing the efficiency of state support for agricultural organizations, identified by the Government of the Russian Federation has been analyzed. The authors have highlighted the main realities of the development of the agro-industrial complex, studied the main areas of information support using the example of the agricultural sector of the economy, identified the root causes of the slowdown in the innovative development of agriculture in Russia, considered in detail the features of using information technologies in the agro-industrial complex. The structure of public expenditures of the consolidated budget of the Novosibirsk Region is described, which includes the share of expenditures on technological innovations. The influence of innovative production on the food security of the state is indicated.
