Abstract: The article analyzes the development offarms on the basis of the data of the all-Russian agricultural census of 2016 in comparison with the data of the all-Russian agricultural census of2006. Changes in the number of farms, in the structure of agricultural and non-agricultural activities, in the amount of agricultural land, planted field crops and number offarm animals are shown. The data on the number of employed workers, the availability of agricultural machinery and equipment, the provision of infrastructure is provided.
