Abstract: The article deals with topical issues of pig farming caused by sanctions pressure, grouped and classified factors affecting the competitiveness of pig farming agroindustrial formations of the holding type. The influence of organizational, economic, technical and technological sovereignty on the innovative development of the pig breeding sub-sector is considered. The scenarios of ensuring the competitiveness of high-tech agro-industrial formations in the conditions of sanctions pressure and import substitution are formulated and presented.
