Abstract: The methodological provisions for the efficiency of land relations in agriculture are considered. It is revealed that in the basis of complex studies of this phenomenon should be based on the system and system-structural approaches. The fundamental conditions for the effectiveness of land relations in agriculture are considered. Their nature and content are considered in economic, social and environmental aspects. In the course of the study, much attention is paid to the indicators of economic efficiency of land use. In order to assess the level of land resources use, as a factor that significantly determines the production activity of agricultural enterprises, the criteria and methods if its implementation are presented. An attempt to clarify and expand the basic public principles of land relations in the agricultural sector of the country has been made, areas of their improvement have been identified.
